Online Essay Writing Competition

Chandrabhan Sharma College, Library and Information Centre organized an online essay writing competition on 15th August, 2021 as part of 75th Independence Day of India.This competition was organized to help the students develop writing and analytical skills, expose themselves to diverse information and gain insight to translate their thoughts and ideas with precision and clarity. 

Students were asked to write essays on the above given topics and have to upload in pdf form only, Total 25 students participated and an E-certificate was issued to all the participants who participated in this competition and a winner’s certificate was awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd Winners. The students wrote wonderful essays and shared their knowledge on the given topics.

The winners were – 1. First Prize – Chandan Suhas Shinde, 2. Second Prize – Munshi Zulfa Mahek, 3. Third Prize – Sangeeta Panigrahi & Shivani Chitnis

The event was judged by Prof. Vandan Ravikumar and Prof. Prajakta Mahajan and with help of all the participants the event became successful.

One Day Webinar on N-List: E-resources User Awareness Programme

Chandrabhan Sharma College, IQAC Cell & Library and Information Centre organized One Day Webinar on N-List: E-resources User Awareness Programme to all the students through GoogleMeet Platform on 12th August, 2021 (Thursday) from 12.30pm to 01.30pm. This programme was conducted by Mr. Sunil Ubale, LibrarianChandrabhan Sharma College and Mr. Snehal Sambhar Asst. Librarian, Chandrabhan Sharma College, Powai, Mumbai.

The session started by giving tribute to Padma Shri Dr. S. R. Ranganathan (Father of Library Science in India) on his birth anniversary and gave glimpses of his role and contribution towards developing library education and library profession in India.Started with introduction of what is N-List, its functions and features, showed N-List web-page how its look like, and the top 10 college users flashing on N-list web-page. Users were taught how to register and how to login, discussed with them how to access this database and e-resources i.e, e-books and e-journals available in this database.
