One Day Webinar on READING: A Habit to Achieve Academic Excellence

Chandrabhan Sharma College, IQAC Cell & Library and Information Centre organized One Day Webinar on READING: A Habit to Achieve Academic Excellence online on  Google Meet Application to all the students, on 26th February 2021 (Friday) from 03.00pm to 04.00pm. The resource person for this webinar was Mr. Ramesh Paloti, Librarian, Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan's College, Andheri (W), Mumbai. 

The Webinar was organized specially for students with a view to inculcate reading habits among themselves, this event helped them to express themselves in better manner and improve their reading and communication skills. Ramesh Sir has started the session with giving his own example how he developed habits of reading and started his presentation with How to simplify your Reading Habits, What World Leaders think and how they Do?, Shared his own experiences – shared examples of good books he read, why do we read and what to read, what is the impact of reading, choosing your best reading place, create reading plan, and make your reading a fun activity, shared various books on developing reading habits.

Online Quiz on International Mother Language Day (Matribhasha Diwas)

Chandrabhan Sharma College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Library and Information Centre organizes Online Quiz Competition on account of International Mother Language Day (Matribhasha Diwas). This quiz conducted through Google form, link for the competition was shared through WhatsApp messenger to all the staff members of the college, scholars, students and professionals working in the domain.  20 questions were asked to solve each question carry 2 marks & received around 472 responses from the participants. There were no registration fees to this event. E-certificates were issued to the participants who answered 50% of the questions right to this quiz and the link was open till next day i.e, till 22nd February 2021.

International Mother Language Day is a worldwide annual observance held on 21st February to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and to promote multilingualism.

Online Quiz on National Girl Child Day

Chandrabhan Sharma College of Arts, Science & Commerce, IQAC Cell & in association with Library and Information Centre organizes Online Quiz Competition on account of National Girl Child Day. This quiz conducted through Google form, link for the competition was shared through WhatsApp messenger to all the staff members of the college, scholars, students and professionals working in the domain.  20 questions were asked to solve each question carry 2 marks & received around 87 responses from the participants. There were no registration fees to this event. E-certificates were issued to the participants who answered 50% of the questions right to this quiz and the link was open till next day i.e, till 25th January 2021.

National Girl Child Day is observed annually on January 24 to raise awareness about the rights of the girl child and importance of their education, health and nutrition. The year 2021 marks 13th National Girl Child Day

Online Book Review Competition

Chandrabhan Sharma College, Library & Information Centre organized Intra-collegiate Online Book Review Competition to students of our college on 16th January 2021 (Saturday) from 03.00pm to 04.00pmThis competition was organized online on Google Meet Platform and competition judged by Mr. Vijay Ramchandra Namdas, Assistant Librarian, N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mira Road.

The competition was conducted to inculcate the reading habit among student and to enhance the thinking, analyzing and summarizing capacities of Students. The books for the Review Competition were general books i.e., fiction, non-fiction, biography, autobiography etc. (not specifically related to any subject) and should present in English, Hindi & Marathi languages. 

  • The First Prize winner - Mr. Khushraj Singh Sandhu (SYBAF) 
  • The first runner up Mr. HarmanPreet Singh Dhillon (SYBAF)
  • The Second runner up was Mr. Shivam Mishra (TYBMS) 

This event was very exciting and helpful to all students; chief guest Mr. Vijay Namdas Sir gave a very enlightening speech to all students that motivated them.
